Recently we hosted a session with Piccolo organic baby food pouches at a Balham Big Fish Little Fish. It went so well that we are teaming up over the next few months at nearly every party around the country. You can expect Piccolo five senses zones at selected BFLF family raves and free pouches for our younger ravers at most events (excluding festival appearances and Manchester).

The five senses zones will be a relaxed area where babies and toddlers can sample the Piccolo range and enjoy handling, smelling, listening and seeing objects that stimulate all of their senses.

As every parent knows, their baby’s experience with tastes and textures are much more intense than that of adults, and that at the early stages of development their child’s relationship with food forms a tie that remains with them for life. From the first taste of a creamy butternut squash, to a merry mouthful of sweet cherry, every new food opens a whole new world of adventure.

Piccolo offers parents a range of six stage one blends, made with 100% natural organic ingredients and inspired by family recipes. With a range of adventurous and delicious flavours, each suitable for children from around six months, little ones can discover new taste experiences such as Apple & Apricot with a pinch of cinnamon, Cherry & Yoghurt with wholegrain oats, and Spring Greens with a hint of mint.

The Piccolo story began around the kitchen table. Founder Cat Gazzoli set out to create a brand with a focus on giving back that speaks to modern parents ‘At Piccolo we are on a mission to encourage healthy eating from a young age and we believe our delicious pouches are the perfect way to do that. The range was influenced by my Italian roots, background in food education and passion for good, honest and natural food.’

Piccolo also commits to donating 10% of all profits to food education working in partnership with the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) – the first ever baby food company to do so. Through supporting the NCT’s charitable activities, Piccolo hope to further their shared vision of supporting parents during the early stages of parenthood.

If you would like to get your hands on Piccolo, the range can be found in Waitrose, Planet Organic, Wholefood’s & Booth’s and online at Ocado, Cheeky Rascals and Hubbub.
